Metro Structures is leading the construction of the infrastructure development of a 136-acre master planned community in Harris County, Texas, on a site that was formerly a landfill. In addition to providing GC services to the owner, Metro oversees all aspects of the construction as a construction manager for the owners. The project presented significant challenges, including complex site conditions and the need for specialized budgeting and estimation to address regulatory requirements from multiple state and local agencies.

Despite these complexities, Metro Structures continues to deliver the full scope of oversight for infrastructure in compliance with the exacting standards of a Municipal Utility District.

In addition to horizontal infrastructure management, the company has been tasked with vertical construction of over 744,000 square feet of industrial buildings in various specifications. In connection with this, Metro is leading the development of a multifamily housing project for a tax credit developer and the buildout for diverse retail parcels—including a commercial soccer complex with an on-site restaurant and bar.
